Mozambique Memories: Bye Bye Mozambique- Hello Malawi :) when just crossing the border at sunset into Malawi & being excitedly welcomed by local kids! The start of our 2-month journey through the warm heart of Africa💗 #travelafrica #africatrip #travelwithkids #familytravel #adventures #storytelling #border #crossingborders #thisisafrica #instamoment #travelgram #droppinproject #happiness #malawi #momlife #toddlerfun #toddlerlife #childrenphoto #children
Mozambique Memories: Finally reaching the isolated borderpost Villa Nova de Fronteira to Malawi - and what a nice surprise: the neglected borderpost has just recently been renovated & staff were friendly and relaxed even though it was nearly closing time #travelafrica #africatrip #travelwithkids #crossingborders #unusualroads #mozambique #border #malawi #vanlifediaries #vanlifers #roadtrip #zebracamper #bordercrossing #travelgram #instamoment #thisisafrica #adventures #storytelling
Mozambique Memories: After there was no hope for the car ferry at Sena to arrive & leave with enough cars in the next days as a short cut to Mutarara on the way to the Malawi border, we had to take the long detour of nearly 200km via dirt roads/goat tracks (try find the roads on Google...!) through local villages including military/RENAMO rebel(?) check-points and finally going over the Chire River (also with hippos & crocs) at Chipanga via this old hand-operated ferry! #travelafrica #africatrip #adventures #roadtrip #mozambique #Chireriver #rivercrossing #ferry #instatravel #riveradventure #locallife #localstories #doccie #filmmaking #organicfilmmaking #storytelling #africanadventure #ontheroad #projectvanlife #go_van_com #vanlifers #vanlifeexplorers #vanlifediaries #unusualroads #droppinproject

Mozambique Memories: Waiting for the small car ferry at the little village Sena as a short-cut to Mutarara, as it's only 40km to the Malawian border... locals only spoke Portugese or their mothertongues and infos about the ferry operations ranged from 3 times daily to once a week- depending on the ferry getting 5-6cars together on the other side to come to us & would also only leave our side when filled... my hubby Tresor was checking out the riverside where he sees the half-filled ferry & we decide to just overnight on the riverside (apparently with crocs & hippos!) as the ferry might come early next morning... well, well - someone had other plans for us... #travelafrica #africatrip #instatravel #travelgram #travelmoments #adventures #daddycool #expecttheunexpected #instamood #zebracamper #hymerlife #happycamper #ontheroad #challenges #mozambique #sena #zambezi #carferry #camperlife #bestspot #vanlifediaries #vanlifeexplorers #projectvanlife #vanlifers #go_van_com #vantales #droppinproject
